Use The Products Consistently
In any business where the strength of the product is the strength of the business it is vital that you have a clear understanding of the product benefits. There is no better way to understand these benefits than to use the products yourself.
If you were not previously a Herbalife customer and have not yet used the products, it is vital that you use those in the IBP. Learn how to make great tasting shakes. Without using and believing in the products your new business will be off to a precarious start. Potential customers will ask you how the products are, how does it feel, what was different for you. If you can’t describe this you are not going to instil confidence to purchase the products. However, using the products, developing your own product result and even becoming passionate about the products will serve you well.
It is important that you record your results (weight, body fat% etc, and measurements) and take a before photograph. So many people have not done this in the past and have lived to regret it because they have undergone a mild or in some cases dramatic transformation in appearance. It does not matter that you perhaps do not want to lose weight. Some of my clients (in their words), “look brighter”. This can best be shown by a picture.
Get your own testimonial and work closely with your sponsor or upline to make sure you understand how to use the products for your own circumstances.
Do Your Research (read the manuals)
As with any new venture it is critical that you learn as much as you can as early as you can. There are several sources of learning that you should consider which have been developed by Herbalife and also by other Distributors who have amassed years of experience between them and have produced these simple guides to help you understand this concept and get off to the fastest start possible.
Firstly, you should have read your Business Manual in the International Business Pack, then the WLC material and the coaches handbook, prepared by distributors, for distributors. This will provide a more detailed insight into the Wellness Club and Weight Loss Challenge principles.

Find and Book Your Weight Loss Challenge Venue
The importance of this step cannot be over emphasised. When you have made the decision to go ahead the most important next step is to commit to the launch of your club by booking the venue for your Club launch. At this point everything changes for you. Having made the commitment you now have a deadline to meet and your activity will be clearly focussed upon achieving this.

Produce Your Plan of ACTION
Your business will not grow without ACTION! You need to consider the multitude of methods of advertising available to you and used by others to decide which three as a MINIMUM you will use to market your business. Below you will see a typical example of a successful local campaign to launch the Weight Loss Challenge
- 2000-5000 flyers
- 50-100 posters (same copy as the flyers)
- 3 8ft x 2ft PVC banners
Use a simple weekly planner to work out how much free time you have each week to build your Herbalife business after taking care of all your other higher priority commitments. Now you know how much time you have you can select and plan the activities that you will do. Remember, marketing your business is a continual process, although the two weeks prior to a WLC launch may require a more concerted effort to really start with a bang.
